Privacy policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026. Applies to the Black Friday Deals app for iOS and Android, published by Capionic LTD (United Kingdom).
What the app does not do
There is no account, no sign-up and no personal profile. We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location.
Data we process
- Country and settings. Stored on your device only.
- Saved deals. Stored on your device only.
- Push notifications. If you turn on any reminder, the app sends an Expo push token, your chosen country, your notification topics and your time zone to our server so we can send the messages you asked for. Turning all topics off deletes the record. Tokens that stop working are deleted automatically.
- Usage analytics. Anonymous counts of screens opened and buttons tapped, processed by PostHog on servers in the European Union. No advertising identifier and no IP-based location are stored. You can switch this off in Settings.
- Crash reports. If the app crashes, a technical report without personal data is sent to Sentry so we can fix it.
- Advertising. The app shows ads through Google AdMob. In the UK and the EU you will see a consent form first. On iOS the system asks whether to allow tracking. If you refuse, ads are still shown but are not personalised. Google's handling of ad data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Store links. Some links to stores go through affiliate networks (Awin, Skimlinks or Sovrn). The network may set a cookie in the browser view to attribute a purchase. This never changes the price you pay.
Legal basis and retention
Push records are kept while a topic is enabled and removed when you disable all topics or uninstall the app. Analytics events are kept for 12 months. Crash reports are kept for 90 days.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about a push token or request its deletion by writing to head@capionic.com. Under UK GDPR you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes
We will post changes on this page and update the date at the top.
